AIX 5.3 Only root can send email

For some reason, only root is able to send email. Trying to debug this is tough since no log is created when sending via non-root users, and trying to trigger sendmail from a command line just returns to the cursor with no information on screen or in the maillog.

My guess is that this is permission related, but everything I check seems OK.

Please share any ideas and let me know what other information might be helpful.

Thanks in advance.
