Password Length?

(OP)
I was out talking to someone about the UCX 50 yesterday and they asked me about password lengths on the system. I won’t be back at my shop until next week to test so I thought I would post here and see if someone knows.

Minimum character length for passwords:
System Accounts = ??
Voicemail = ??

I know the documentation recommends a minimum of 8 for System & 6 for Voice mail but the guy asked me if it could be as few as 4.

RE: Password Length?

The system password cannot be shorter than 6 characters. When you try to enter an invalid password, the following error message is displayed:
"It must be at least 6 characters long, use at least 5 different characters and cannot be based on a dictionary word."

For voicemail, no minimum length is enforced. The administrator can even delete the password - the mailbox is then accessed without a password.
