Will Crystal Report 9.0 for Visual Studio .net work with MICROS?

Will Crystal Report 9.0 for Visual Studio .net work with MICROS?

Will Crystal Report 9.0 for Visual Studio .net work with MICROS?

(OP)
We are having some issues with reports in our MICROS RES 3700 system and I need to procure a copy of Crystal Reports 9 (the version compatible with our RES 3700) to investigate. I may be able to procure a copy of Visual Studio .net 2003, which comes bundled with a Crystal Reports 9. My concern is that I might have problems getting said bundled version to access non-Microsoft data sources such as the Sybase database underlying the RES 3700. Unfortunately, there is hardly any version/feature info for older versions of CR currently available on the web.

Any pertinent comments will be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, the Crystal versions bundled with VS were never restricted to just Microsoft data sources.
