query MSSQL backups with powershell

HI All,

I have a task to get backup information across dozens of instances of sql server. the instances include mssql 2000 to 2008r2. i decided to use powershell from this link http://hassanszone.wordpress.com/2011/03/21/powers...

however the code inly seems to bring back information from 2000/2005 instances.

the machine i am running the code has sql server 2008r2 express edition . is there an issue with the code? any alternatives?

Thanks in advance,
