Is there a c# equivalent version of the java applet?

Hi, I wanted to build a browser add-on (like Java Applet) in a web app that can read data from USB, is there such thing in .NET world where I can use c# as the programming language?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Is there a c# equivalent version of the java applet?

Not sure if it will do what you want, but you should look into Microsoft Silverlight

Thanks! I just found out that I could use WPF in browser to build the similar stuff. I'll check Silverlight as well. Thanks again:)

RE: Is there a c# equivalent version of the java applet?

WPF application will work just with IE. If you want your "applet" to work with other browsers you need to use Silverlight. Before to start the development check the supported browsers.
