Avaya 4620 IP Phone, "Bad Router" Problem

Avaya 4620 IP Phone, "Bad Router" Problem

Avaya 4620 IP Phone, "Bad Router" Problem

A little background info: we already have 8+ Avaya 4620 IP phones (same exact model) working perfectly and set up perfectly. We purchased 3 more (used) phones. It looks like who ever had them before locked them down in some way just not sure how. When i boot the phone up, it goes through the normal beginning steps but never allows me to change any settings.

Boot Sequence:
Loading 8 secs
a20d01a2_3.bin, 1915kb
100MBs Ethernet
Finding router... (it sits here for a good 30 seconds)
Bad router?

This is my first time getting these phones used like this, so I am not sure what to do. It never offers me a prompt or anything to change the network information or anything. Pretty much I would like to find a way to do a hard reset of the entire phone and take it back to system defaults if it can be done or at least just get the thing working. I have 3 phones doing exactly the same thing (all ordered from same place, used). Thanks in advance for any help!

RE: Avaya 4620 IP Phone, "Bad Router" Problem

bad router means it cannot ping the default gateway that is in the phone.
make sure that the entry is correct and that it is pingable.

You need to add a route in the IPO

... you also need to post in the right forum, the IP Office PARTNER Edition and other Basic Edition modes don't support IP extensions. Try posting in the http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=940 forum.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
