Macola - I need help cleaning the database since it is really messed up.

Macola - I need help cleaning the database since it is really messed up.

(OP)
Good morning,
I started working for my company few months ago and we use Macola Progression 7.6.300c (Progression Workflow Explorer 76.300.0.3).

This is the problem. All the POs are in status P and it seems no PO has ever been closed since they started using the software.
Inventory is not updated and I have negative values in On Hand and On Order (how is it possible I have negative quantity values for On Order???).

I would like to fix this situation or to know if the situation can be fixed.

Can you please help me?
I need to know what is the best way to approach the problem.
How can I close the POs (how to change PO status)?

Please let me know if you need more information. I am new with Macola and with this forum.

Best regards,
Luca.

Pervasive or SQL? Why are you on an 8 year old version of the software?

You can reset the qty on order by going to IM->Processes->Reset Qty on Order. Be sure to check the "rest inventory transactions" checkbox.

Start with dgillz sugguestion. For the PO's there is a process to run to close eligible PO's they don't automatically close. You can also manually close PO's. Lookup the pocess in PO help, manually you just change the printed flag to closed. After this process repeat dgillz sugguestion.

In 7.7.800 they just released new functionality to close a range of POs. This only works if they are fully received and fully invoiced. Otherwise this is a manual, one-PO-at-a-time process.

Thank you very much for your support.

Pervasive or SQL. I don't know.
Why 8 years old? That's a good question but I don't think we'll get a new version anytime soon.

Since the data is not actual I am extracting what I need form the database and I elaborate it in excel using visual basic. So for the POs I just cancel all the POs where qty ordered and qty received have the same values.

I will try the procedure to close the POs, but it seems that with the version I have it will be a one by one cancellation.

What would happen if we updated the software with regards to the data stored?

Thanks again and best regards,
Luca.

The Pervasive or SQL question is pretty critical. When you click on start, programs, what do you see for Macola?
