I am unable to get this unit to conference on an analog station port on the IPoffice. rls 8.
is there any other settings i need? Im not trying to do meet me's, im trying to just do 3 way calls.
it says to hit the green button, dial out, push it again to make a second call. when i push it the second time I dont get any dial tone for the second call. and when i start dialing, i can hear it on the first call. Its like the hook flash isnt grabbing the second dial tone.

Its an analogue phone, so treat it as such. You can't conference like that with an analogue phone so you need to use the system shortcodes to do this, Manager help files will help you with the rest :-)

why would the manual for the B149 say to use the hookflash button (the Green handset button)? does this button only work on other phone systems?

Possibly, but as you know every system is different and there are many so the chances of the manual being right for every system you can connect it to (even Avaya ones) is highly unlikely :-)

You probably need to go through the B149's menus to set the hook flash time it uses to match that expected by the locale to which your IP Office is set (for example 200ms in the UK).

- Set region.
- Set flash
- Set Conf Code (F*47 is the default to match an IP Office).

and then it goes like this

1. Pickup the line and call the first conference party
2. Hit the flash button (or conference button on some phones) you get a new dial tone back
3. Dial the second party for the conference call
4. Press the Flash button again you will get another dial tone
5. Dial *47
6. You will hear a single beep and all parties are joined together
7. Repeat step 2 to 5 to add more conference parties (only if you do not have analog lines otherwise you can only have 2 outside parties)
