I want to put in a few squared/key system IPOs. I have been searching the KB. Is there a limitation on the number of phones I can have? In the KB I see 48 with 2 digit extension and 100 with 3 digit extensions, and a max of 18 Partner sets. I want 10 phones & 6 lines. Basic, Basic, Basic..... Does anyone have experience with these types of setups?

RE: extension limitations

You've got it right, fonedude. If you want more than 48 phones, you will need to switch to 3-digit extensions. You do that from the Manager screen. Go into the Tools->Extension Renumber. You will need to do this to use all the ports on a DS-30 expansion module. With 10 phones and 6 lines, just 2 combo cards should be enough for you. Or 2 ETR cards with 2 ATM-4 trunk cards if you have Partner sets.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?
If it's broke, try to fix it..
If you can't fix it, get yourself a good baseball bat and swing away! :)

RE: extension limitations

I haven't Done one yet. Everybody seems to not like it. I cant convince the salesman or buyer not to do it. Avaya ATAC says they will support it.
I'll try.

RE: extension limitations

I have done a couple now. Some clients are cheap and just don't understand the benefit of essential. Anyway, the Partner mode systems I have put in place all work fine. They are just basic. I would not recommend using intuity mode for the voicemail.
