FTP Error CS5

Can anyone help with a technical question with CS5 - I have upgraded from CS3 and I am also now using windows 7 (historically I was on XP). Unfortunately I cant 'get' my site as I am getting an error 'FTP error occured - cannot open server folder C ........Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.

any ideas please

RE: FTP Error CS5

Do you have a server folder at C.....?

RE: FTP Error CS5

Yes I do. I am following the information I have on my desktop PC, although that is on Dreamweaver CS3.

RE: FTP Error CS5

So now that you have confirmed that the file exists, you know that it is a permission problem.

Windows 7 introduces new permissions that were not enforced as strictly as XP.

You'll either need to loosen permission on "server folder C ........", move it to another location where its permissions are not restricted, or run your program as an administrator so that it can affect any files.
