Voice and Data Vlan on 3COM 4500

Hi there,

I have some questions as to vlans on 3com 4500 switch,i have a scenario like that:

Extreme-SWL3--------Extreme-SWL2-------3COM Switch

On Extreme-SWL2 on ports 15,16 i have Avaya IP Phones connected with pcs and on the port 17 i have an alone IP Phone so the configuration on this extreme switch would be something like this:

create vlan data
configure vlan data tag 10
configure vlan data add port 15-16 untag

create vlan voice
configure vlan voice tag 20
configure vlan voice add port 15-16 tag
configure vlan voice add port 17 tag

On the 3com switch i have this same kind of scenario, that is, port 15 and 16 with phones connected to pcs and port 17 with an alone IP Phone, how would be the configuration on the 3com switch? On the ports 15 and 16 i would have to use a "hybrid-port" and on the port 17 a trunk port ?Could any of you post some configuration?

RE: Voice and Data Vlan on 3COM 4500

Your question would be better suited in the HP A-series forum since it deals with 3COM http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=545

The E-series deals with HP's Procurve line of products.
