Field Assignment Problem

Field Assignment Problem

Field Assignment Problem

(OP)
Hello everybody, after long time I started developing an app in Clarion but ran into a strange problem

. Clarion 6.1 build 9034

Where: In a standard form design, picking a record with the usual lookup function and using the 'more field assignment' option

Problem: Some of the field pick the desired value, some are not fetched, does not show in screen and are validated only after hitting the 'ok' button

All fields are picked from the same file, all fields have a valid value in the source file.

I am pretty sure there should be a 'stupid' reason, but I can't figure out what

Thank you in advance for any helpful hint!

RE: Field Assignment Problem

Hi!

The reason for your problem is because the fields being picked are NOT part of the Lookup Browse i.e either displayed as part of the List Box or defined as Hot Fields for the browse.

Regards

Hi Shankar,

that was it, thank you very much!

I'm so rusted after 4 years of no Clarion use that I've forgotten the basics :)
