exporting crystal reports to excel automatically

I am using crystal 11.  i want to run a report and automatically have it export to an excel spreadsheet  of the 97 to x format.  I know this can be done manually.  Is there a way to have this done automatically and if so how?   I did check posts and could not find this topic.

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: exporting crystal reports to excel automatically

You would have to either write a program using the SDK or purchase other software where you could schedule the report to run and export.  If this is your only need for scheduling a report, Crystal Server will do it.  There also may be something available from a third-party that will handle this.  See Ken Hamady's site at www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html for a good list of some of the software that's available.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

What is your datasource ? Most of the databases will be able to do this and you can avoid creating a report.
