SRX 240

SRX 240

I am implementing two 240 in cluster mode and would like the second SRX to be inserted later. Do you see any problem with this?

RE: SRX 240

Not a problem if you can afford the down time.
You have to remove the VLANs and ports, start the cluster setup and reconfigure your security for the new interfaces.

The number 0 units port will be ge-0/?/? and your number 1 units ports will be ge-5/?/?

Also, the cluster uses the Routing Engine on Unit 0 only, so in a failure scenario when unit 1 takes over the Routing Engine table will be rebuilt,
about 10 second or so.
