Sun X4500 no video output

Sun X4500 no video output

Sun X4500 no video output

Hello , If someone has experience with Sun X4500s could they possibly advise the cause of no video output either directly connected to a monitor or through redirection with iLOM.

Server powers on
All lights green - no fault lights show
System controller fault test shows no fault when tested
iLOM works via net and serial
Tried a new PCI graphics card - again no output during POST
Redirection screen is just black when connected.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi. Although you're perfectly correct to be posting here, you may find you will reach more people who might be able to help you via forum60: Sun: Solaris .

RE: Sun X4500 no video output

Thanks Ken, I worked on the system a bit more today and got it operating. I removed and reseated the CPUs and it began to work. I think that the server must have been handled roughly when transported. So now I can have some fun.
