How to get value for an OID

How to get value for an OID

How to get value for an OID

I have an OID but I am not able to get its value

RE: How to get value for an OID

You mean you do not know what is? Or when you walk the agent you get back this OID with no value?

RE: How to get value for an OID

I have found that OID is related to RFC 4122 which will provide the UUID value of a system.  But when I  try  to fetch its value I am getting error .
Link which mentions about the FRC 4122 :-

Command :# snmpget -v 1 -c public <System IP Address> iso.
Got an error :- Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::directory.16.1

I don't know how to find an OID or MIB which can give me the UUID of the system?

Thanks for your response , could I get some more help ?

RE: How to get value for an OID

Just because something has an OID doesn't mean it is part of SNMP.

That would be the case here.
