Confused about fonts!

Confused about fonts!

Confused about fonts!

Greetings all.

I do not seem to be able to find much information on which fonts are best to use for browses (ABC).

Personally I find Arial > Regular > 8 much better than the default MS Sans Serif for use both with the Browse windows controls and the Browse List however it's no good in the Update window as it does have display issues and does not look good at all.

I am tempted to use Arial > Regular > 8 for the browse and the default (MS Sans Serif) for the update window but on an LCD screen with Windows 'ClearType' turned Off Arial > Regular > 8 is then not very good at all.

As we all want our programs to look good I wondered if there were any Pro's and Con's on which fonts to use and/or if anyone had any suggestions.

Thank you

RE: Confused about fonts!

What version of Clarion? Because from C7 onward, all controls support ClearType fonts. Before C7, TEXT controls supported it but the ENTRY control did not and the only option was to replace all ENTRY controls with TEXT controls with the SINGLE attribute.

And, be aware that Microsoft Sans Serif IS NOT the same as MS Sans Serif and will have the same problem as Arial.

RE: Confused about fonts!

Thanks for the feedback ShankarJ

I am using Clarion 6.1
