HP2840n Printing only right, vertical side of page

(OP)
I have a 2840 that is only printing the right hand side of the page, fading in from blank (LH) to full colour and detail(RH) on the right.

So far I have replaced the imaging drum and cleaned the laser head unit, reset to default settings and reset the NVRAM but to no avail.

There are no indicated errors, so I am not assuming a hardware problem.

The colour and detail that is printed on the far right is fine, so I am ruling out the formatter. I am more driven towards a possible transfer roller issue.

Does anyone have any knowlege of this type of fault and how to fix it?

Check the alignment of the left side of the carousel.
Small white gear with two little nubs on the shaft that drives it.
Line up with mark on the top of left side of carousel.
Same with the right side. What is consumable life? Fuser also.
check if it has release lever still up.
