Requesting for help to access VSAM on z/OS from SAS on AIX

(OP)
Hello all,

My shop runs SAS on AIX server (Unix). The mainframes in our shop do not have SAS installed on them. Whenever we need any files on mainframes, we use SASFTP in the SAS programs in Unix to read them from mainframes. This was working fine for flat files. But now, I am not sure how can we access VSAM files on mainframes from SAS on AIX. I would really appreciate if anybody can guide me to learn about accessing VSAM files from Unix.

Thanks in advance
