Time Capsule as a NAS device

Time Capsule as a NAS device

Time Capsule as a NAS device

Can I do this? Attach a time capsule via ehternet to an existing LAN network? The TC then is available to a LAN attached Mac to use time machine to.
Don't want to use the TC as a router (doesn't support LAN to LAN VPN termination).
I'm going spare trying to understand the Apple docs, most of which seem to tell me I need to replace the existing router with the TC.
Help please

RE: Time Capsule as a NAS device

disable DHCP on the Time Capsule and you should be ok.
