RE: Email headers, IP addresses and MAC addresses

(OP)
Is any MAC address visible in an email header? (of a router near the email server)

RE: Email headers, IP addresses and MAC addresses

None is and the IP that may show would be your ISP.  What are you using for an email client, IE: Outlook, Thunderbird?

RE: Email headers, IP addresses and MAC addresses

MAC addresses do not appear in email headers or in the SMTP transactions, just IP addresses.  However, the MAC address is used at lower levels of the TCP connection and can be seen with different tools, at least if watched in real time.
