Hi,

i have a system with solaris 5.10 142901-12 and i need to downgrade at 119255-73.

It's possible?

RE: Downgrade solaris 10 x86

Try to do a patchrm 142901-12.

It will only work if the patch was installed without removing the old files or if that patch was not part of the initial installation baseline.

RE: Downgrade solaris 10 x86

Your request does not make any sense.

142901-12 is a kernel patch, pretty recent in fact.

119255-73 is a "install and patch utility" patch. They are not the same.

why do you need to remove the latest kernel patch?

yes djr111 your comment is right.

142901-12 is latest kernel patch available on SUN site.

I need, at the end of installation, that the system have patch id: 119255-73.

have I made myself more clear now?

RE: Downgrade solaris 10 x86

you can just install that patch at anytime. download it from Sun and install it. I installed it using: smpatch
