All backup jobs failing

All backup jobs failing

All backup jobs failing

I have taken over the job of Net Admin who left job under unfavorable circumstances.  While looking to do an upgrade to software on a server I discovered that our backups are not running in CommVault.  I am not knowledgeable of the product and would like to ask for some pointers on where to start.  The error message I am getting is:

Failed to start phase [Scan] on [yhs-1] due to network error [150994980]. Will attempt to restart. Please check if this product's services are running on the remote host.

I can ping the host yhs-1 from the CommVault server, and the services are running on the remote host.  I have restarted the CommVault server and the yhs-1 server.  Any ideas?  Also this is occuring on almost all servers that we have setup for backups, not just this one, which would lead me to believe that the problem is with the server, not the clients.  Firewall is disabled on the server (2008 R2) and the clients are NetWare servers, so they don't have firewalls.

RE: All backup jobs failing

Some pointers-
- Ensure that firewall is definately disabled for all profiles on the box
- Go into TCP/IP settings and disable IPv6 on the nics...also ensure that the ::1 address is hashed out in the hosts file

Multiple nics?
Is the one you want to use listed as the first in the binding order?
If not then try creating Data Interface Pairs

If all else fails then you could try uninstalling the iDA from the client (without deleting from the CommServe console)and reinstalling
