Sql Server Compact 3.5 for Desktop / for Mobile - together?

Sql Server Compact 3.5 for Desktop / for Mobile - together?

(OP)
Hi Folks,

I couldn't find a forum specifically for Sql Server Compact.  This forum looked closer than anything else.  Please let me know if there is a better forum for me to post this in  :)

Please tolerate some newbie questions...

1) When I go to download Sql Server Compact 3.5, I get a choice between the desktop version and the mobile version.  Can they be installed on the same machine?  I mean, if I want to create applications for the desktop which will use SSC3.5 as the DB, and I want to create mobile applications which will use SSC3.5 as the DB, is this possible?

2) If this is not possible, can SSC3.1 be used with desktop applications as well as mobile applications?

3) Also, can Visual Studio 2005 be used with SSC3.5?

Any ideas, corrections, clarifications, partial answers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

bb
