Epson TM T88IV faint print

Hows it going, I have an Epson TM T88IV that prints out a customer receipt and a slip for the chef under it. The print for the chef receipt is fine, it is bold bigger font etc but the customer part is very faint and very hard to read. This was not a problem until we went to read reports from the system and they were coming up as wingdingsso installed the fonts from another machine. The reports are coming up fine now but as i mentioned earlier the receipt is now really hard to read, has anyone ever come across this before, any help is really appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Epson TM T88IV faint print

You are going to have to replace the print head.

Thanks for the reply but i did a test page there and the print is fine and the print in the chef section is grand to, this is the same in 2 places so i dont think it is the printer head.

If you change the report font back to wingdingsso does the receipt now print correctly? It is seems to be a setting in the software since that is all that has been changed.

RE: Epson TM T88IV faint print

try to increase the darkness of the print. If you unscrew the plate on the bottom you will have access to the dip switches.  dip switches 1-4 on the first set of dip switches control the darkness.  Try turning on dip switch 4
