How to embed an excel document into a visio process flow map

(OP)
I am trying to place an icon that will open an Excel document.  I want to place it below the actual process step on my drawing.  Everytime I try, it just pastes the entire spreadsheet and then i can minimize.  It still doesn't solve the issue as I want it to open in Excel (or whatever I want to attach).

Please help.....there is no info online.

RE: How to embed an excel document into a visio process flow map

1. Find a suitable icon to use, save this as a GIF or PNG or similar.

2. Insert it into your diagram using Insert -> Image and resize and locate the image to suit.

3. With this image selected, menu Insert -> Hyperlink
and browse to your spreadsheet.
