ESX and ESXi differance

ESX and ESXi differance

Hi All
can any one tell me the differeance between ESX and ESxi, please.

RE: ESX and ESXi differance

ESXi is the headless option. It does not have a service console with the exception of changing IP address information and passwords.

ESX is kind of like a unix/linux box, where you can install 3rd party software on it if you like.

Both are good choices. I prefer ESXi since everything I do is done remotely anyway and it has less of a footprint.

RE: ESX and ESXi differance

Here is an article that explains in detail the differences.

The answer is always "PEBKAC!"
