RE: mas90 error 17 invalid file type or contents

Error = 17 (Invalid file type or Parameter)
A program operation is being performed on a damaged or corrupted data file or program.
MAS 90 Error Message:
ERROR: 17 PROGRAM: XXXXXX LINE: ####
Common causes may be:
1. An invalid parameter has been encountered.
2. A MAS 90 data or program directory resides within another MAS 90 data or program directory.
Possible solutions:
1. If a program file is causing the error, reinstall the application. If a data file is causing the error, restore the
damaged file using a backup and try the failed function again. If these measures fail, you must rename the
damaged file and manually reinitialize it. Missing records must be reentered.

I suspect a bad record. Rebuild the AP sort files and then rebuild the key files for AP1.
