I have a HP Procurve 2524 switch. I have tried to console in by Cisco rollover cable attached to a USB converter (I'm using a Mac). I cannot get Zterm to work. I've done the pointy object approach with the reset and clear buttons, but to no avail. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Your Cisco lead won't work, it's wired wrongly. What other serial cables do you have?

I figured it out, finally, and you are correct (thanks). I made a null modem cable and it worked!! I appreciate the response.
