...try to select all objects, choose pathfinder palette, select the "trim" button...

...you'll probably then need to fix the stroke color back to pink...

...do also bear in mind you need to have the individual objects filled with a color or white...

...if for any reason you then need it to be one compound shape, choose "object > compound path > make" after you have trimmed...
