TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

(OP)
The New Tda50g Is Showing Some Typical Windows Symptoms.
I Hope Panasonic Isnt Outsourcing The Software From Microsoft smile
Hoping To Know If There Are Others Who Are Having This Problem. I Have Had All The New Tda50 Exhibit This Funny Problem And From The Error Log , It Seems It Pretty Serious.

I Take A New Tda50, Install, Setup And Program All The Phones. Now I Hit The Reset Button Or the Power Button,
The System Reboots, But All Phones Are In Idle But Frozen State. The First Two Line Buttons Are Lit Up Solid Red.
After About 40-60 Seconds The System Reboots By Itself And This Time Around The Phones Come Up Fine.
In Some Cases , The System Kept Rebooting Till I Had To Default Or Initialize It.

The Error Log Has It As A Major Error.

Mpr Wdt Overflow

And The Manual Gives The Following Explanation :

 Probable Cause :

MPR card malfunction

• Optional service card

malfunction: CTI-LINK

• Erroneous processing of

MPR card software

• Software error due to external factors

 Solution :

 • Press the Reset Button
• Reprogramme the Hybrid IP-PBX
• Replace the MPR card (be sure to turn
off the Hybrid IP-PBX when replacing)

RE: TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

(OP)
Yes, this is a USA system.

RE: TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

WDT is "watch dog timer"
Not sure what it does, but every time I've gotten it, we sent the system back to Pana for replacement.

RE: TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

Hey Shar hows things!!

RE: TDA50G MPR WDT OVERFLOW : ERROR

(OP)
I have had three systems TDA50G having the same problem.
Its funny, but the last system I tested in the office,
it freezes and reboots once automatically when you powercycle it,BUT the second time when it boots up, its working fine.

I guess it is a bug in the MPR and needs to be fixed.

My distributor doesnt have "anybody else complaining about this"

Any help here?
