I have a manager that would like to leave a message on one extension and have it forward the message to the members of his team. We have found that he can create a list in VM and use it, but we were wondering if there is a way to do this using a vector or somesuch. I am not too skilled with the PBX so I'll do my best in trying to understand your replies.

Thanks,
Danny

RE: 1 extension to multiple voicemailbox

Are you using an intuity audix?

if so it is not possible as of intuity release 5.

if the intuity is on the network you can use outlook to pull the vm into the second mailbox and in the outlook settings check the box to leave a copy of the message on the server. I forget the settings to do this it is on the avaya site in FAQ's i think you just use the ip of the audix as the pop server.

RE: 1 extension to multiple voicemailbox

Could you not just set up a broadcast mailbox? and administor a couple of communities with/without sending restrictions.

Is along the right lines?

How might I go about setting up this broadcast mailbox? Sorry, but our Audix skills are weak here.

Thanks,
-danny

RE: 1 extension to multiple voicemailbox

1. Add sub XXXX (use an extension that is not used on switch)
2.Type 0 in switch number field (voicemailbox only)
3. Type Y in Broadcast mailbox? field
4. On page 2 of subsciber screen enter none in permissions type and permissions broadcast
5. enter number of days you want message to be active for in incomming mailbox, retention times field
6. F3 to save

7.  change sub XXXX (person you want to create Broadcast messages)
8. page2 of sub form enter voice in the broadcast field

To send a message :
login to mailbox that has permissions
press 1 (record message),press #, press#, press 8 and that should schedule delivery.

this will send the message to every user on the system if you do not set communities up.
to cahnge/set up sending restrictions first decide who you want in you communities and assign them to it o page 1 of sub form.  Then change system-parameters sending-restrictions and set up restrictions as desired (using the helpkey?choiceskey is very useful here)
