I have a report (XI) that lists id numbers with comments.  The users want to be able to click on the id number and go back to a jsp page so they can edit comments.

I tried to do a hyperlink but that doesn't work. The report looks like.

item    comment
1        comment 1
2        cccomment 2
3  ...

The intent is that if the user sees item 2 has a problem (like spelling) on the comment, then they click the 2 and it takes them to a details edit page in Java where they can correct their errors and then rerun the report.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.
thanks

RE: pass crystal field value to a java (jsp) page

My hyperlink refers directly to the edit form so you are directed right to it.  After you have edited it, I have a return button that is coded as:  Response.Redirect(HyperLink1.NavigateUrl) and I am returned the web form with my report.

I hope that this makes sense.

Mzkitty.  Thanks.  For the Attachmate portion, do I have to have an add on in Crystal or would I just put my link  & conconate the formula?

Thanks

RE: pass crystal field value to a java (jsp) page

Sorry I had to have the hyperlink removed.  I did not realize that I had posted a real link to our intranet website.  Anyhow, I did not have to do anything with an addin.  I right clicked on the field I wanted to use as the hyperlink, clicked on the hyperlink tab and went into the formula area to set up my hyperlink line.  I tried just entering it in the hyperlink box, but that did not work, so that's why I went into the formula area. By doing it this way, I was able to point it directly to the webpage for edits.(I have a separate webpage for any edits)

Thanks.  I'm trying it now.
