Cant get baseline grid to show

Think Im going mad but cannot get baseline grid to show,document grid shows/hides as normal, screen view mode is normal Ive selected view show baseline grid, checked grid colour and tried different increments and shut down and reopened indesign, anyone any ideas

What's your View Threshold. Perhaps set it to lowest setting? 5%?

Had a look and view threshhold is 75%. Can get the grid to show on a new document, but cant see it in this project?

I'm on a Mac. InDesign is always doing weird things with screen drawing. One solution is to turn off rulers, save, quit, reopen. (Some bug causes screen issues when rulers are turned on.)

If that doesn't work, I repair the disk and permissions using a freeware called "Applejack". That always resolves my issues.
