Translation of MessageBox buttons

Translation of MessageBox buttons

Translation of MessageBox buttons

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if it is possible to translate the 'Yes' and 'No' labels of a Message Box and if it is, how can I do this.

Thanks for help.

RE: Translation of MessageBox buttons

Yes. Absolutley !  There are many many customised message boxes available.  ( essentially just dialog boxes ) that allow complete customisation of how your message box looks and feels. eg Button text, Time outs , pictures etc.  I can send you one if you would like a bespoke one that is easy to implement - although Im not sure how clear it would be if I pasted the code here.  Would you like it ? Alternatively Im pretty sure there is a customisable message box function in the SAL extentions in http://tdsamples.daverabelink.net/index.php?dir=SalExtension/

RE: Translation of MessageBox buttons

Hi GuptaSteve,

Thanks for your help. My problem actually concerns the specific Message Box which appears with the function SalMessageBox(). Is it possible to translate the 'Yes' and 'No' buttons in this message box? How could I modify them?

Thanks for help

RE: Translation of MessageBox buttons

Simplest way is to replace call to SalMessageBox() with call to VisMessageBox() which displays a message box with user-defined buttons and a user-defined icon..  Look up VisMessageBox in TD Help to see how you can customize the buttons and graphics.  Obviously you need to include vtmsgbox.apl or vtnn.dll or all of VisualToolChest in your app.
