problems with web copy/paste

I have a friend with a MAC osx computer who cannot use a cursor to highlight a block of text in a browser window then press ctrl-c to copy it to clipboard and then ctrl-v to paste it to another browser window.

I don't own or ever have operated an apple computer. I have no trouble doing this on my PC ..... why can he not do it on his MAC....is there another key combination to copy/paste? or is there something wrong with his setup?

RE: problems with web copy/paste

On Mac it's Command (Apple key) C, etc.  The Control key does not work like that on Mac.

Using OSX 10.3.9 & 10.4.11 on a G4, G5 & Intel Macbook

Thanks....an obvious solution to a Mac user but not so obvious to a PC user....:)
