LJ P4014n 49.4C27 error

LJ P4014n 49.4C27 error

LJ P4014n 49.4C27 error

I just got this unit in the shop today, fairly new, about 4000 pgs. User gets this error, but I dont know the printing situation. In reading posts on the  IRC site, most have said the error comes up when using Crystal Reports.
A "fix" is to use PCL5e and roll back the firmware to ver.4.042.0 instead of ver. 04.047.2 and install a NIC.
Turning off unused protocals,is mentioned also.
I am thinking that a mis-match of hardware used in the network could really be the culprit. Traffic slowdowns, glitches, too fast/too slow through-put could be it.
I have one on a simple network off my workstation on the bench, and so far, no error.I'll try different apps to see what happens. then hook it up to our network for others to try.

The HP Product Division is aware of this issue and the HP Lab is working on a firmware fix - however, the ETA for this firmware is unknown at this time.
I can confirm that it's a FW related issue.

RE: LJ P4014n 49.4C27 error

I must of got the newest release, 04.047.2 and so far, no problems. Could just be corrupt chip on some formatters?
Or just misreading data from the app?
I dont have crystal reports, so will try excel.
