Hi,

I need to add a .bmp picture of a logo to a Crystal Report v10. It looks fine in Crystal but when I export to Excel 97-2000 the image is displaced and the report looks terrible.
I have tried Underlaying the following section, using gridlines and locking the position and size but have had no joy. The Report header should basically be a large text box with borders and the report name on it, with the logo placed somewhere within the text box.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it.  There have always been issues with getting "picture perfect" exports from Crystal to SQL.  It's somewhat better in Crystal XI and 2008 where you have separate standard and "data only" exports to Excel.  The standard export is close to picture-perfect but it used lots of merged columns and rows in order to do that so you can't really sort or "slice and dice" the data in that format.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Thanks for your comments. I will have to try it when we upgrade one day!

I managed to get around the problem using Crystal 10 by reformating the report and keeping the image outside the text box - not ideal as the report header and logo were supposed to be within a box. Tried using a box and lines instead of a text box with borders but this didn't work either.
