GS character \1d not found on web form

GS character \1d not found on web form

GS character \1d not found on web form

I have a problem with scanning a long barcode with both fixed and variable length data.
After the variable length data there is the GS control character. When i scan into TextPad it is there.
When i scan into Notepad, it isn't.
I made a little web form to test for the character and when i paste from TextPad to the form, the character is there.
When i scan directly into the form, it isn't there.

I need that character ( don't care if it is visible or not) in a web form so that javascript can find it.

I have tried META TAG content UTF-8.

My test scanner is OPTICON 3201

Help please!

RE: GS character \1d not found on web form

It could be a matter of Notepad and your web form not being able to interpret the Group Seperator. Have you tried scanning with another scanner?

RE: GS character \1d not found on web form
