Windows VISTA and Assembly Language

Windows VISTA and Assembly Language

(OP)
Hello everyone.

I have Windows VISTA and I'm trying to log in to Debug to use the assembly language for educational purposses.
unfortunately, it doesnt allow to me to log in and gives me an error

C:\>debug
'debug' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

how can I solve this problem.

Regards

RE: Windows VISTA and Assembly Language

C:\>debug
-quit

C:\>which debug.exe
C:\Windows\system32\debug.exe

I have vista home premium.
Perhaps it's just another one of those version dependent things.

RE: Windows VISTA and Assembly Language

20 years ago, when the OS was DOS and it fitted in less than 64K, DEBUG was an OK tool to use.

But nowadays, it's like using a teaspoon to go digging in an open cast mine.

Free Telnet

Free Assembler

Free Debugger (which knows a hell of a lot more about your OS than DEBUG does)
