SMS data transfer

SMS data transfer

(OP)
What I need to do is importing the name of software apps running on all machines in the organization. To import them into another custom database.

Anyone has a similar experience on this kind of operation ? Please share!

The way I see it, I should get the applications running on each machine and transfer it to the custom db.
How would you do this transfer, I mean I can get the reports but I would have to manually save them (export) as excel files. Is anyway I can access it, grabbing the data into a temp table or something like this ??

RE: SMS data transfer

Create a read only account in SQL on the SMS/SCCM server, then on the other SQL server create an ODBC connection from that server to the SMS server and pull what you want.
