Canon MX850 set date

Canon MX850 set date

Canon MX850 set date

I own a Canon Pixma MX850 printer. When I set date and time, this settings are lost, when power physically is switched off. Now, when I repower the printer it and send a document from my desktop, the date and time are set to the current date and time of my desktop. This is fine, but doesn't help if I receive (or send) a fax. In this case the date is set to 01/01/2007 00:01
Question: I'm looking for a method to set the date without really printing a page e.g. to print a blank page without ejecting the page.

Any suggetions?

- Wilfried
