Data Environment Problems

(OP)
I am taking over an existing project that was developed using visual interdev (visual studio 6).  I open the solution on my computer (vista ultimate) and everything opens normally except the data connections.  I can expand global.asa and then data environment and I see all of the data connections, but they are all showing disconnected.  Also on any of the asp pages with recordset's, they are showing red like the connection for that recordset is missing.  The original developer uses XP, but other than that we can't seem to find any other differences.  Most of the data sources are access db and have file dsn's setup, along with a couple sql servers.

Any help is most appreciated.
