Nvmediacenter error 75

Nvmediacenter error 75

Nvmediacenter error 75

(OP)
Hi,

We got an infection of W32.SillyFDC virus on one of our PCs, it all started with an infected USB.  I ran Symantec AV and it deleted two items: gpl.exe in the PC and winusb.exe in the USB.

Now the PC seems to be free of viruses, but right after logging in, there's a Nvmediacenter error window stating "Run-time error '75': Path/File access error".

I was doing some reading, and it seems that a file needed by the Nvidia card was deleted (although I don't know which one is the file).  Even though I get the error stated above and the fact that USBs don't autoload in the PC after this infection, the PC is working normally.

I got the Hijackthis log for analyzing it.  There are some entries I know I'll have to delete (For instance, the 01 entries for a site called bancomer, the O4 entry calling gsjfxer.exe, etc.), but I'll wait an answer before I do any changes.

P.S.: I manually changed some names to ***** due to privacy policies in our company.  Please help me confirming which entries to delete and how to solve the Nvmediacenter error.  Thanks in advance!

(OP)
Thanks James.

I wanted to have a second opinion, specially for the gsfxer.exe file.  I deleted all suspicious entries, and found out that gsfxer:

1) Disables autorun feature in usbs.
2) At startup, shows the nvmediacenter error message.

After deleting it, no more trouble in the infected PC.
