It works brilliantly.

All I do with rtf's is

Place the RTF into a blank indesign file and export it out as rtf again (this just clears out any styles that aren't being used)

Then with the new RTF I place that into my layout. Once I have it in I select all the text. Thne I simply double click the script.

The script then creates and applies the character styles, like bold, italic, bold italic, superscript, subscript, etc., where appropriate.

It's one of the best scripts I have in my arsenal and I don't know what I'd do without it.

The superscript are the numbers or letters you see in text that reference to a footnote or an endnote in the document.

A subscript is a number or letter that sits lower than normal text at a smaller size, say for molecule references or something, like water - H20 is written with the 2 smaller and lower than the rest of the text.


The only script I use regularly and is important to me is the Smart Title Cases script.

For headlines you don't want conjunctions capitalised such as; and, to, the, etc., this script ignores those words when changing to Title Case.

To add to that;

If you opne the script in a text editor, like notepad or textedit, (not Word or a word processing program) you can add in your own words to the list of words that it ignores.
