How to refresh a PivotTable created by ADO?

How to refresh a PivotTable created by ADO?

How to refresh a PivotTable created by ADO?

I set up a monthly report with a couple of PivotTables in it, created through ADO from an external data source (MS Access). However, as I tried to refresh the PT by right-clicking the mouse but the 'Refresh' entry in the dropdown was not highlighted. It looks like refreshing is not allowed.
I do need to refresh a PT because I don't want to re-create a PT and lots of cosmetics every month when the data are updated.
If use DAO, things are getting better? But ADO is newer and should perform better. Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks in advance.
John Z.

RE: How to refresh a PivotTable created by ADO?

Thanks for clarifying the difference of ADO and DAO.
No, I don't use OWC PT. Only the regular Excel PT.
Take care.
