Hi,
Vmware cannot run on HP-UX, do you confirm ?
Thanks

RE: VmWare and HP-UX

There is nothing to say VMWare Server won't run on HP-UX since it is Linux compatible.

ESX 3.x is a flavour of RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 and runs direct on the hardware so no additional OS is required.

RE: VmWare and HP-UX

You have to be a bit more clear about this;

- HP/UX is a Unix variant and does not run Linux binaries directly assuming you are trying to run Vmware Wkst/Server on it
- Although you can run Linux on an HP9000, it would have to be other PA-RISC or an Itanium based CPU distribution which as far as I know VMware does not support these platforms
