RE: nameing forms

Yes you can:

MaintForm = CREATEOBJECT('MyFormClass')

MaintForm.Show()

or if you are using:

DO FORM myForm NAME MaintForm

MaintForm.Hide()

RE: nameing forms

HI Parthi..
What Weedz said is correct.
Just a tip...in addition to what he has said...
All the more the reason, that the forms shall be handled with proper naming convention, especialy, if you use CREATEOBJECT or even as forms. Also, imagine, if you copy from1 to form2 with the intention of modifying few things and then use it in the project as an additional form. If you dont take care to change the names, you could end up having objects with same name giving you errors (if both are opened simultaneously). It is wiser to avoid troubles with unique names. Also I have often seen people using same names for forms and reports. Example.. customer FORM and customer REPORT. If you name the objects as 'customer' in both the cases, you could release customer report and along with it taking down customer form as well. I have not experienced these (since I always name properly), but I have heard these problems to occur.

Hope this tip is of help to you

Hi Ramani,

Proper naming convention: from1 to form2

I just couldn't resist...
