Transferring the calendar from Sidekick 95 to 98
Transferring the calendar from Sidekick 95 to 98
(OP)
Hi, I'm a Sidekick98 newbie.
I have been running Sidekick 95 for some years and have recently downloaded Sidekick 98. Everything is fine except that when I try to open the Sidekick 95 calendar a lot of the daily entries are missing. I've tried all different ways of saving the 95 userdata but there are still missing entries when I open the 95 calendar in 98.
Can anyone please help.
Kind regards

Are these recurring appointments?

No, not recurring appointments. The entries are just day to day things I have done. What the weather was like on that day, if I cut the grass, etc.
I've tried (File - Open Calendar) but only half the entries are retrieved.
I've tried using the backup facility in 95 and then doing a restore in 98 but whatever I do, only half the entries are retrieved.
Once whilst doing a 95 backup I got the message "insufficient memory" and promptly lost all the calendar files and the backup.
I never had a problem running SKW2 for many years.
Kind regards

Have You applied the Sidekick98 Patch from the website as it stops the ToDos disappearing each day/ each time you restart Sidekick.
Otherwise save the comments in the Appointments section of the Calendar.
