Blocking or/masking ANI

Blocking or/masking ANI

Blocking or/masking ANI

(OP)
When someone from my organization makes a call to someone in the private sector, the ANI show's up on their caller id, call providing the "wrong" number for call back. (We prefer to direct all callbacks to our toll free number) How can I change what appears on the call id, internally and externally

RE: Blocking or/masking ANI

take a look at 'change isdn pub'.

RE: Blocking or/masking ANI

sorry- some more info. to restrict the ANI check out page 2 of the station form : per station CPN - send calling number. set it to r for restricted (an n will send your main number).

RE: Blocking or/masking ANI

I had to call my LEC to change the number that is posted on the outgoing ANI information for my T1 lines. I had mine list the company's main number.

I appreciate the suggestions, now here's the other problem, several managers have "2222" displayed on the people they call, caller ID's.  How is this done?

RE: Blocking or/masking ANI

I would assume it is in change isdn public. and 222 is assigned to their numbers.

Please let me know if this was helpful

RE: Blocking or/masking ANI

Dont't forget to set the trunk form to use numbering format pub-unk.  It on page one of the trunk form, right hand side, toward the bottom.  I am doing this from memory so plsase bear with me, I believe it says numbering format.  Hope this helps.
